Surrogate-based acceleration of quasi-Newton techniques for fluid-structure interaction simulations

Quasi-Newton methods have proven to be an efficient way couple partitioned solvers in fluid-structure interaction problems, as they are able stabilize cases with high added-mass, well accelerate the convergence. However, these assume that coupled system is a complete black-box, whereas often, its behavior approximated by surrogate model. Such model may obtained coarsening system, simplifying physics, reverting analytical approximations or considering at previous point time. The principal idea of this work use initial solution and Jacobian provided model, expedite convergence even further. This article presents new framework for inclusion models quasi-Newton positions several existing respect it.
